Lactose-Free Nepali Food in Helsinki
At Everest Ravintola in Katajanokka, the majority of our dishes are naturally lactose-free. Authentic Nepali and Indian flavors, family-cooked since 1997.
Nepali cooking draws on a pantry built around lentils, chickpeas, rice, and slow-cooked vegetables and meats — not dairy. While some Indian-inspired dishes on our menu use cream or yogurt-based sauces, a large part of our offering has always been naturally lactose-free. We clearly label all lactose-free dishes on the menu so you can navigate your choices easily. If you are unsure about a specific dish, our staff are happy to advise.
Our lactose-free practices
Many of our curries and grilled dishes are prepared without dairy products. Dishes marked (L) on the menu are lactose-free. Some sauces may contain ghee or yogurt — if you are highly sensitive, please inform us when you reserve or order. Our kitchen is not a certified lactose-free environment, but we take care to accommodate dietary needs when we know about them in advance.
